Shearer Sits On The Fence Predicting Derby Result
Alan Shearer, still smarting from Joey Barton's outburst on Twitter last week, was sat on the fence predicting the result of the derby against Sunderland. Barton called Shearer a "slaphead" and said the former Toon number nine had "disasterous dress sense", after Shearer made comments about Barton on Match Of The Day. Alan Shearer: “It’s just such a big fixture for both clubs, and for different reasons. “They both picked up decent results at the weekend. “Newcastle never looked like scoring but they were fair results. Both of them will be looking to get their first win. “I always had teams that I seemed to do well against on a regular basis, and Shola Ameobi has a decent record against Sunderland. “It would be great if he can continue that from our point of view.”
