Shearer Says Beckham 'Circus' Could Hinder England!
Gordon Brown has sent David Beckham a message wishing him a "speedy recovery" from the injury which has ruled him out of the World Cup finals, but .... ... Alan Shearer says Fabio Capello should think long and hard if he intends taking Beckham along for the ride. Many sports reporters have suggested Capello should include Beckham as some sort of "embassador" during the World Cup this summer, but Shearer said (on the One Show): "Beckham attracts media from all over the world. "It becomes a circus ... everyone wants a photograph and a word. "Is that what Capello wants? "He has enough to concern himself with, it could be a massive distraction he could do without."
