Shearer open to offers

Alan Shearer has revealed that he is ready to consider job offers away from Newcastle United. The Toon legend failed to save the club from relegation after he took charge at the end of last season. He left his caretaker role, but he was widely expected to return once owner Mike Ashley finalised his sale of the club. However, Ashley has yet to find a buyer and Chris Hughton is now doing well in his caretaker role. And Shearer admits that he may be forced to look elsewhere. "Despite what happened in my short spell at Newcastle I would dearly love to get back into the game. If everything was right then, yeah," said Shearer. "If the job came up or if a job was to come up, not necessarily Newcastle, then I would be interested."
