Pundit turned manager Alan Shearer says he does not listen to his former colleagues' opinions on how to keep the flailing Magpies up.[LNB]The England and Newcastle legend has spent the last few years as a pundit after hanging his playing boots up.[LNB]And while he admits he respects the views of his former colleagues, he does not listen to them as he seeks to mastermined Newcastle's escape from the drop.[LNB]The Magpies boss, whose side face Portsmouth in a crucial home match on Monday, told The Mail on Sunday: "I am not a pundit anymore, I am the manager.[LNB]"I don't really care what people on the outside say, probably like they didn't care what I said when I sat there on a Saturday night a month ago.[LNB]"Everyone has an opinion. I respect that, because that is what I do - that is what I did.[LNB]"I respect it, but listen to it? No."[LNB]
