Alan Shearer has insisted he would have no qualms about bringing Michael Owen back into his Newcastle side for the clash with Middlesbrough.[LNB] The Magpies boss decided to leave the striker out of his starting XI for the 3-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday but he has been pleased with his attitude in training this week.[LNB]Shearer is now considering whether to recall Owen for Monday night's crucial North East derby.[LNB]And he is convinced the 29-year-old would turn in a good performance if selected.[LNB]"I know the response I would get, to be honest, because he is that type of lad and he is that type of professional," said the manager.[LNB]"It was a very, very difficult decision, without a doubt. [LNB]"He was disappointed, but he took it in a very professional way, as you would expect because of what he is and who he is."[LNB]Newcastle have yet to win in five matches under Shearer but remain just three points adrift of safety ahead of the visit of Boro.[LNB]
