Sepp Blatter: How the world of football has reacted

MICK McCARTHY [LNB] Wolves boss: 'They were outrageous comments. I think he should go. We all know it's wrong. We've taken huge strides - and then we get the leader of the whole organisation weakening it. Let me tell you, if he had racially abused me or my family I might be shaking his hand with one of my hands, but I couldn't tell you what I'd be doing with the other.'[LNB]TONY PULIS [LNB] Stoke boss: 'I'm amazed he's come out with it, but who is actually going to take him to task? One thing it proves is that he's miles away from what is happening in football and across the world. Is he just going to get away with it? If you've got someone who answers to nobody then he can say what he wants - and he has been for years.'[LNB]CHRIS HUGHTON [LNB] Birmingham manager: 'It's a massive concern that one person who heads the world's governing body is allowed to make those comments. They are totally unacceptable. If I look at the work clubs have done, the great work by the Kick It Out and Show Racism the Red Card campaigns things have improved dramatically. Racism can't be dealt with by a handshake because it is unacceptable.'[LNB]ASHLEY WILLIAMS [LNB] Swansea defender: 'I think the comments are ridiculous, I don't know what he was thinking. It's so stupid. I don't think it's a big problem on the pitch as I haven't come across it but even if it's a small problem, it's a big problem. There have been a few high-profile cases in recent weeks so it's something we need to  stamp out.'[LNB]ALAN PARDEW [LNB] Newcastle boss: 'The fact it has brought racism back into the spotlight isn't a bad thing because there is no place for it in society. I don't care what anybody says, English football has led the way in trying to eradicate it and I think we are right to voice our concerns. It's a good thing. We have to keep on top of it and make sure it never rears its ugly head again.[LNB]BRENDAN BATSON[LNB] Former PFA official and now FA consultant: 'People should be able to go about their lives, and jobs, without being persecuted for their colour. Instead, the head of the world's governing body trivialises it all by saying it's not a problem.' [LNB] Go now, Blatter!
