Reading boss Brendan Rodgers insisted his players would learn from their 3-0 defeat at Newcastle. The Royals were on the wrong end of a Shola Ameobi hat-trick but Rodgers refused to be downhearted. He said: "It's one we won't cry about. It was a great experience here for the young players. "It's a wonderful club with a big history and stature and it was good for my players to experience that, and we will be better."
