Remy Turns To Toon - Not Rangers!

01 January 2013 12:16
QPR manager Harry Redknapp says he is unsure whether the club will be able to convince striker Loic Remy to join them from Marseille.

Leaving the way clear for Newcastle to step up their pursuit for the 25-year-old France international.

And Redknapp admits it could be difficult to persuade Remy to move to Loftus Road given Rangers’ position at the bottom of the table.

“He’s a top player but I don’t know whether we could get him to QPR,” said Redknapp.

Rangers also want West Ham midfielder Mohamed Diame, but the east London club are confident he will stay at Upton Park.

“He’s another top player but whether West Ham will sell him, I don’t know,” Redknapp added.
