Redknapp To Use Ipswich As A Stepping Stone?

There has been steady money in betting suggesting Harry Redknapp could be ready to take over at Ipswich Town.

But he is looking for a Premiership club, and if he does take the job - don't expect it to be a long contract.

The pressure looks to be mounting on current boss Paul Jewell after the Tractor Boys suffered another defeat at the hands of Charlton at Portman Road on Saturday.

A beleagured Jewell seemed resigned to his fate and said after the match: "If Harry Redknapp's going to become manager of Ipswich, that'll happen. What am I going to do about it?

"If (owner) Marcus Evans wants to put Harry Redknapp in charge, he can do that. He can do whatever he wants."
