Rangers Keep Believing - A Lesson To Us Toon Fans

Man City arrived on Tynside last week having won just one game in six. "A good time to play them", said the bloke next to me in the Leazes.

Yep ... and that idea was soon shot out of the water. So we have QPR on Saturday; a team who recorded their first win in 563 games ... or something like that ... at the weekend.

Adel Taarabt has been encouraged by Queens Park Rangers' progress under Harry Redknapp and believes they have a good chance of staying up.  An unbeaten run of four games has lifted them off the bottom of the table.

Taarabt, who scored both goals in the 2-1 win over Fulham on Saturday, has now urged his team-mates to push on during the festive period and further boost their survival hopes.

Adel Taarabt: "We are now unbeaten in four games and we know that we have to keep going like this.

"If we can do well over Christmas I think we will have a real chance of staying up.

"I hope now we can start to believe in ourselves because if we keep winning games we will get out of trouble.

"It has been a long time since I have played in this position but the gaffer put me there and that is where I like to be.

"We deserved to win against Fulham because we created all the chances in the game."
