Ranger makes way for Carroll for Magpies

TEENAGE striker Nile Ranger has been given a breather after an impressive start to life in the Newcastle first team at Blackpool.[LNB] Ranger has been named among the substitutes at Bloomfield Road after Chris Hughton's decision to recall Andy Carroll after a groin injury had kept him out since August.[LNB] Hughton has also made one other enforced change, with the suspended Alan Smith replaced by Nicky Butt in the heart of the Magpies midfield.[LNB] Newcastle are looking to claim the point that will take them back to the top of the Championship.
