Although it was though the striker had played his last game for Newcastle, the Toon manager says he can still impress and fight for his place.
Alan Pardew: “He’s got a bad injury actually.
“I can’t see him coming back before March so he’ll stay here now and he needs to get himself into gear and see if he can threaten the team."
