Perhaps Leon Best Should Look And Learn From Vuckic!

We reported yesterday that Toon striker Leon Best has told Chris Hughton he will not go out on loan ... even though he is behind Nile Ranger, Peter Lovenkrands, Xisco, Shola Ameobi and Andy Carroll in the pecking order. Hughton had suggested the former Coventry City player could benefit from a loan spell in the Championship in the January transfer window, but Best will have none of it ... even if it means him sitting out his lucrative three and a half year contract in the reserves. However ... Newcastle youngster Haris Vuckic admits he would be happy to go out on loan in order to gain valuable experience. The 19-year-old forward is yet to force his way into the Magpies fold on a regular basis, with his first-team opportunities limited to the Carling Cup. Haris Vuckic: "Nobody from the club has spoken to me about a possible loan, but of course I have heard the rumours. "The truth is I would have no problem going out on loan, as long as I get more minutes to play. "Even in the Championship there is good football and I think it could only be good for me if I were to play every week. "But I will not complain if I end up staying at St James' Park. I have everything I need here. "Training here is good and I am learning from extremely good players. "Even if I were to leave for a loan spell, I would still want to return as I want to make my mark at this club."
