Perch Is Hardly A Miss!
Apparently Alan Pardew was left "incensed" after James Perch was given a three-game first-team ban. Perch was sent off on reserve team duty in Newcastle's 2-1 defeat to Manchester United at the Magpies’ Benton training ground. But the former Nottingham Forest defender has not put in one half-decent performance in the first team this season. Reserve coach Peter Beardsley: “Without being negative, it’s not always about winning. “They battled hard, but I thought they were a little more streetwise than us in terms of knowing how to play the game, and slowing the game down in terms of gamesmanship. As a coach, that’s frustrating, especially at our level. At the top level, it’s always been part of the game. They were clever.”
