Paul Gascoigne turns down Garforth Town manager's job

Paul Gascoigne has turned down the offer to manage non-League Garforth Town.[LNB]The 43-year-old revealed last month that he was making a sensational return to football by taking the reins at the Evo Stik First Division North League club.[LNB]But after days of uncertainty since the initial announcement, the two sides have been unable to reach an agreement.[LNB] No thanks: Gascoigne has waved goodbye to a return with Garforth[LNB]Gascoigne's previous management role at Kettering in 2005 lasted just 39 days when he was sacked amid claims the former England international was drinking too much. [LNB]It isn't the first time West Yorkshire side Garforth have made a move for some of football's biggest names. In 2004, they signed Brazilian legends Socrates and Careca. [LNB]But the club's owner Simon Clifford insisted last month that the Gascoigne deal was different.
