Pardew's Guarantee To Williamson!

Mike Williamson says Alan Pardew has told him ...

... he is not bothered about big names and will stick with a winning team.

With staggering wins over Chelsea and Spurs, proving the bookies wrong, will Pardew stick to his word now that Fabricio Coloccini is back in contention.

Mike Williamson: “The manager has openly said he is going to keep a winning team.

"That can only carry on and is a good thing. Colo is a fantastic player, a great leader and club captain. It is nice to be playing but it can all change week to week and I’m sure he will be back at some stage, I have to make sure I stay in there.

“The fans can see the quality in our squad and it’s a matter of finding that consistency and getting the right balance.

“The last couple of weeks have come together and we have had two fantastic wins. We have put ourselves in a good position and we have to make sure we build on that.

“The Premier League is the most exciting league in the world because of its unpredictability, so you never know what will happen.

"Norwich last week got a great win having been down at half-time.

"There’s quality and danger in every team, so there will not be an easy game. We have to show the spirit we have in the last two games.”

"Chris Hughton had a massive influence on me and he’s such a great person, a great manager.

“He has all the attributes to get Norwich up the league and progress.

“He is a great guy, easy to approach. He was somebody the players wanted to play for.

"We had a lot of characters in the group when he was in charge, but the overall consensus was that we wanted to get a result for the manager because he was such a nice guy.

"You could always speak to him. It was a good environment to be in.”
