Pardew's Dream Strike Partnership At West Ham!

24 July 2013 11:12
Alan Pardew said in May he would be interested in taking Andy Carroll back to St James' Park ... but Mike Ashley refused to be drawn on talks.

And the Newcastle boss shocked the Toon Army when he said he had hopes of signing Loic Remy ... even though the player snubbed him in January.

The Daily Star reports today that West Ham are hopeful of agreeing a deal with QPR to sign Remy, having already brought in Carroll from Liverpool.

Now what does that say about West Ham's ambition ... and Mike Ashley's lack of it?

26-year-old Remy is one of a handful of strikers Newcastle boss Alan Pardew is interested in, having admitted he is on a shortlist along with Darren Bent and Bafetimbi Gomis.

But while others make a move, Newcastle are still in first gear.
