Pardew Waits On Ashley-Kinnear Decision On Cabaye!

23 July 2013 12:05
Yohan Cabaye remains focused on his Newcastle United career despite a summer of speculation over his future, according to Alan Pardew.

But Pardew knows he will not decide whether the Frenchman stays or goes ... that is in the capable (?) hands of Mike Ashley or Joe the Dinosaur.

And it didn't help Pardew when Cabaye told the media he would "love" to play for Man Utd ... or return to France.

He is wanted by Paris Saint-Germain, while Manchester United and AS Monaco have also been linked with moves for the midfielder.

Unlike Pardew, Cabaye WANTS European football! He is a top European player and top European players play in Europe ... every season.

So, he isn't on the same wavelength as the Toon boss, who said this summer "Thank God Newcastle are not in Europe this season!"

There are WINNERS who relish the challenge - and their are LOSERS who hide under the bed.

Alan Pardew: “Obviously, he’s a player I want to keep.

“He’s a great technical player and his personality is fantastic.

“It’s a big season for him. He will be a starter for France at the World Cup. It’s important for him.

“He’s focused very much on us.

“There’s no bid for him as we speak now. Until such time as there is, he is a Newcastle United player.

“Yohan’s a total 100 per cent professional.

“Anything else, all the speculation, will go on. It’ll always go on around quality players like him, like with Rooney and Ronaldo.

“It’s part and parcel of being a big player.”
