Pardew supports Taylor

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew defended Ryan Taylor after he was sent off in the 1-1 draw with Bolton. In a game where Daniel Sturridge's goal cancelled out Kevin Nolan's opener, Taylor saw red for two-footed lunge. Pardew accepted that the right decision was made, but did not think there was any malice in the challenge. "I have seen it again and he went in a little bit over-zealously. I didn't think it was high, if I am honest, but he was late," he said. "With that type of take-off, you are going to be sent off nowadays. Go back 10 years and the boy ain't getting sent off - he might not even get a booking."
