Pardew Set For Signing!

Alan Pardew could secure one of his transfer targets today. Pardew is in talks with an unnamed club over a potential signing. The Toon boss is believed to be interested in Robbie Keane and his team-mate David Bentley, as well as an "unknown Man City player" (if you believe the newspapers). Pardew: "We've made a few enquiries and are talking to one particular club trying to get a deal done before the weekend. "It think that'll be quite important now." That player could be Birmingham star Sebastian Larsson. The 25-year-old is out of contract in the summer, and the Midlands side are keen not to lose him for free and so now appear ready to sell him this month. The Magpies have now made their move and lodged their interest with Birmingham on Thursday. The Blues are now considering whether to let Larsson go, but Newcastle's move could see rival Premier League clubs come in. Liverpool, Everton, West Ham, Blackburn, Bolton and Sunderland all have an interest in Larsson and could very well rival the approach from the North East side.
