Pardew Moves For Chelsea Midfielder!

Alan Pardew has switched his attention to Yossi Benayoun, who looks to be on the verge of leaving Chelsea following the arrival of fellow Juan Mata from Valencia. It has been reported that Benayoun would be included in an offer from Chelsea for Spurs playmaker Luka Modric, but Pardew wants talks with the former Liverpool midfielder. Newcastle have lost Joey Barton to QPR and Pardew is looking for an international-class play-maker. The Israel captain moved to Stamford Bridge last summer from Liverpool on a free transfer. Benayoun has seen just one minute of action for the Blues this season and looks to be surplus to requirements. He wrote on Twitter: "negotiating with several team ...news soon." Benayoun only made ten appearances for Chelsea last season due to an Achilles injury which kept him out for six months.
