Pardew Late Substitutions Backfired?

We threw away four points in the last two games and Steve Harper says "we lost our shape", suggesting Alan Pardew's late substitutions backfired. Steve Harper: "Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but in 2011, four games unbeaten, eight points - a lot of people would have settled for that. "It's all right thinking what might have been, but you can do that and you can bash your head against the wall with football. "But eight points and unbeaten in 2011, hopefully we can continue that for a long time. "We got the goal and probably tried too hard to get the second one. "We went a bit gung-ho and got carried away by the crowd, going down the bank trying to get the second goal. "We did create the chances to get a second goal, but when you lose your shape a little bit and get a little bit ragged and end up playing football with a team of Tottenham's quality, unfortunately the sucker punch is always a possibility."
