Pardew Last Ditch Effort To Sign Bastia Sensation!

It isn't quietening down in the transfer market, after another hectic week at St James Park, and Bastia sensation Florian Thauvin will cost Newcastle £6 million if they want to sign him.

Both Arsenal and Newcastle United are thought to be monitoring the youngster's progress and are understood to be preparing to bid for Thauvin after making contact with Bastia in recent weeks.

Alan Pardew has already seen a £3 million bid rejected for the 20-year-old while Arsene Wenger has also held talks about signing one of the hottest prospects in France.

However according to French sources, Bastia president Pierre-Marie Geronimi has since told they must cough up at least £6m if they want to tempt the Ligue 1 side into selling.
