Pardew: Judge Me August 31st
Alan Pardew knows the Toon Army are still waiting for the major signing that will raise hopes for the coming season. Pardew has brought in new boys Demba Ba, Yohan Cabaye, Sylvain Marveaux and Mehdi Abeid ... but the sale of Kevin Nolan financed those ... so (officially) he still has the £35m the club got from Liverpool for Andy Carroll. And let's not forget - Mike Ashley INSISTED that £35m was to be spent on new players - while Kevin Keegan said Ashley was talking out of his arse and the money would never reach Pardew. Alan Pardew: “We are delighted with the additions so far, but we are still working hard in the market. “Work in the transfer market can only be judged on August 31.” WE WAIT WITH BAITED BREATH.
