Pardew Is DESPERATE To Be Loved!
Alan Pardew has done enough 'arse-licking' in his short time at St James' Park it is amazing he still has a tongue! Now he begs the Toon Army to love him. Alan Pardew: “They were brilliant. “We have had a hard time from the media this summer. “The fans turned up and supported those wearing black and white and nothing else. “They were brilliant, I was proud to be the manager of this club. “All we did was show some quality, there is a lot more quality to come. “But we were honest and that’s the box that we ticked. “We dug in and showed that there is still plenty of spirit in our dressing room. “You can’t fault the hard work of the team. “I am sure that we won’t play another game like that where we don’t threaten from set plays though. We wasted every single one of them which was a shame. “There are two or three names for left-back and two or three for striker role that we would like to get in. “The most important thing was that we have started the season against one of the top, top teams in the league.”
