Although Hughton is under pressure, Martin Jol is still favourite to be the next Premier League manager to be sacked . with Alan Pardew next in line.
2/1 Martin Jol 4/1 Chris Hughton 4/1 Alan Pardew 5/1 Malky Mackay
Sunderland and Crystal Palace, the two clubs beneath Norwich in the standings have changed manager already this term, but Hughton is relaxed about his future and certain Norwich's performances will soon be rewarded by points.
Hughton: "Our concerns are always about making sure we get results.
"For us it's not a comfortable position being in the bottom three. It's not a position we want to be in.
"It's very early days. You have to accept any criticisms and frustrations, but our performances will show that we are endeavouring to play the best football that we can, to try to play winning football."
Cardiff City's Malky Mackay is a 'dead man walking' because last week rumours were circulating that he had already been sacked.
But Sunday's derby with Swansea could well hold his fortunes. Lose that, and he could be gone by Monday.
As for Pardew, he is in the hands of Mike Ashley, and they are in hiding at the moment . refusing to talk to the local newspapers.
