Jeremie Aliadiere is in Dubai discussing a proposed move to Al Ain after Newcastle lost interest in the former Smoggy. The former Arsenal striker is available as a free agent having been release by Middlesbrough in the summer. He has not been involved in any football at all since the summer and Alan Pardew didn't think he would be fit enough to walk straight into a Premiership side. Aliadiere went to the Riverside in June 2007 on a £2million deal that turned out to be a disaster for the Smogmonsters. He managed just 11 league goals for Boro from 78 appearances during his three-year stay.
