Pardew: 'Best Gives Me A Headache'
In the nicest possible way ... Alan Pardew says Leon Best gives him a headache. Leon Best Alan Pardew: "Best's always given me a selection headache because he wants to score goals. He's got his chance [in the team] and he's taken it. "He was so unlucky last year because he got off to a flying start last term, scoring six goals in eight games or something, but then he got injured." "He's trying to make an impact in the Premier League and he's done it today." Pardew also repeated his desire to spend some of the board's money before next week's transfer window closes. He said: "I can't reiterate to the board any more here that we need players and we need to get them over the line this week. "I am frustrated that we haven't got a couple of bodies in yet, and I think Derek [Llambias] and Mike [Ashley] are frustrated as well. "Hopefully, we will get it over the line this week." .
