Pardew And Leprechaun Blood Brothers?

The managers of Newcastle United and Sunderland, Alan Pardew and Martin O'Neill, have agreed to be mates. Well ... sort of.

The sides last met in March - a 1-1 draw - and Pardew and O’Neill at one point had to be separated by the fourth official and members of one team’s coaching staff.

Newcastle goalkeeping coach Andy Woodman was also sent to the stands at half-time while the incidents did not end with the final whistle, as Sunderland captain Lee Cattermole was dismissed by the referee for verbal abuse once the match was over.

A truce was engendered at the League Manages’ Association end-of-season dinner when Pardew and O’Neill (pictured right) shook hands.

They are hardly "blood brothers", and I suppose there was a lot said under their breath ... but hey ... it's a start.
