Parasite Owen Off To The Races

He cost Newcastle Utd a staggering £1.3m a goal - sat out two thirds of the games during his stay on Tyneside - but NEVER missed a race meeting. Who are we talking about?

Yes ... Michael Owen is facing another spell on the sidelines after limping out of Manchester United's 2-0 victory over Otelul Galati on Wednesday night.

The former England striker has handed a rare start by Sir Alex Ferguson but lasted just 10 minutes before tweaking a thigh muscle.

Ferguson admitted he felt sympathy for the injury-prone forward, and said "he could be out for some time."

Owen was unavailable for comment ... he was off to the races.
