Palace Fans To Succeed Where Toon Fans Failed!

Newcastle Utd fans are looking on with interest as Crystal Palace are edging ever closer to being taken over by the fans' consortium CPFC 2010. I don't think many Newcastle supporters felt the efforts of the 'brave' to try and buy out Mike Ashley were ever going to succeed. But ... apparently ... the idea (of the fans buying out their club) has seen some success at South London. Administrator Brendan Guilfoyle has revealed they are close to rubber-stamping the sale of the club's ground, Selhurst Park, and have also reached an agreement with Agilo, the hedge fund which put the Eagles into administration back in January. CPFC 2010, headed by Eagles fans Steve Parish and Martin Long, now need a Company Voluntary Agreement to be accepted by the majority of the club's creditors. "It's a very complex deal to pull together but all of the different parts of the deal are being put in place," said Guilfoyle. "It's like a Rubik's Cube with all the different aspects coming together." FOLLOW THE WORLD CUP WITH NEWCASTLE UTD-MAD All the games ... all the fixtures.
