Owen To Skiip Toon Questions

Michael Owen will face supporter's questions next week ... but you can guarantee he will miss out ones from Toon supporters.

The 32-year-old faced questions on Twitter, most of the responses came from Liverpool fans angry he left their club, and Newcastle supporters upset he joined their club.

His spell at Manchester United was the source of plenty of quips, including 'I'm building a bench for the back yard, any tips?', 'Which is the comfiest bench in the Premier League?' and 'Is it true your favourite brand of clothing is Bench?'

Gilesoffthenet had a query about the Premier League winner's medal Owen acquired at Old Trafford, asking: 'John Terry has become infamous for celebrating successes he played no part in. What else do you have in common?'

Owen also received lots of questions about his injury record.

Upthegills tweeted 'Is it true you've pulled more hamstrings than women', while toon_mentalist asked: 'How does it feel to know that the last time you were fully fit, the DFS sale hadn't even started?'

Liverpool fans were keen to remind the forward he left the club before their 2005 Champions League triumph and, among lots of questions about what he was doing while the Reds were playing AC Milan in the final, graham_large asked: 'Michael, Igor Biscan has a Champions League winners medal - do you?'

Owen has promised to answer the top ten questions on video next week, but it's safe to assume they won't include LeazesTerrace's query: 'Do any of your horses still claim they can race at the highest level despite being knackered?'.
