Owen Heading To Newcastle?
Michael Owen may be leaving Manchester United with Australia's Newcastle Jets ready to put in an offer for the striker this summer. The (Australian) Newcastle Herald are reporting that Jets owner Nathan Tinkler will offer Owen a cash-plus-thoroughbred deal in a bid to appeal to his love of horse racing. Speaking to the Sydney Morning Herald, Jets coach Branko Culina said: "I don't know about Michael Owen but there is no secret that we are looking for a player that will add to our strength on the park and also give us profile off the park, to ensure that we can attract additional supporters."
