Open Top Bus Parade? Toon Fans Split
There is a campaign on Facebook for Toon fans to try and get Mike Ashley to change his mind as regards an open top bus parade with the Championship trophy. Ashley says "no" (and some fans agree), saying we would be a laughing stock. Personally I don't agree. I remember the city bouncing back in 1993 when Kevin Keegan took his boys on a bus trip around the Toon ... and I remember some players saying it was an emotional experience they will never forget (Lee Clark, Rob Lee, John Beresford, to name three). So why rob the new breed of Toon stars that moment of satisfaction? They have worked hard for it. If certain fans don't want to go ... DON'T GO!
