Old Trafford start for Magpies
NEWCASTLE UNITED'S return to the Premier League will begin with a trip to Manchester United on August 14.[LNB] The first Tyne-Wear derby of the season with Sunderland will be held at St James' Park on October 30.[LNB] And the return fixture at the Stadium of Light for the Black Cats will take place on January 15.[LNB] Newcastle's first home game at St James' Park will be against Aston Villa on August 21, while Premier League newcomers Blackpool travel to Tyneside on September 11.[LNB] Champions Chelsea will head for Newcastle on November 27 and Manchester City will provide the opposition in front of the Gallowgate on Boxing Day.[LNB] Newcastle will close the season with a home date against West Brom on May 22, which arrives eight days after the trip to Chelsea.[LNB] *** For a full list of the opening day's fixtures for all of the North-East's teams see Friday's The Northern Echo.[LNB]
