O`Connor banned for Magpies clash
Scunthorpe have learned midfielder Michael O'Connor will miss Tuesday's match against Newcastle.
O'Connor was booked for the fifth time this season in the 3-1 win against Sheffield United on Saturday and the club assumed he would miss next weekend's match at Peterborough due to the seven-day ruling, therefore freeing him to face the Magpies.
However, on Tuesday afternoon the club learned there is now a new ruling in place meaning he will miss the next game as opposed to waiting a week.
The Northern Ireland international will therefore now be back for Saturday's trip to London Road.
