Nolan vows to move on

Newcastle skipper Kevin Nolan has insisted he and his team-mates will move on quickly from the disappointment of losing manager Chris Hughton. There was as much surprise within the dressing room at St James' Park as there was outside it when Hughton received his marching orders on Monday having dragged the club back into the Barclays Premier League and into a respectable mid-table position. However, Nolan, who trained for the first time under new boss Alan Pardew on Friday morning, is adamant the players' unhappiness will not distract them from their survival mission. Writing in his programme notes ahead of the clash with Liverpool, he said: "We can't deny it's been a tough week. But we know have to put it behind us and, as players, we have to move on. "We have accepted what has happened and we will move on. As players, we are now concentrating on getting a good result against Liverpool."
