Nolan missing for Magpies

KEVIN NOLAN is a notable absentee from Newcastle United's starting line-up for today's visit of Wigan Athletic.[LNB] Captain Nolan is understood to have picked up a knock in training, meaning that manager Chris Hughton has the opportunity to play Peter Lovenkrands alongside Andy Carroll in attack.[LNB] There is also no place in the match-day squad for Sol Campbell, who has also picked up an injury in training this week. Fabricio Coloccini, however, has recovered from his groin problem and slots in at the heart of the defence.[LNB] Danny Guthrie also returns to the team for the first time this season, replacing Wayne Routledge on the right flank.[LNB] NEWCASTLE (4-4-2): Krul; Perch, Williamson, Coloccini, Enrique; Guthrie, Barton, Tiote, Gutierrez; Lovenkrands, Carroll. Subs: Routledge, Taylor, Smith, Ameobi, Kadar, Ranger, Soderberg (gk).[LNB] WIGAN (4-5-1): Al-Habsi; Boyce, S Caldwell, Alcaraz, Figueroa; Stam, McCarthy, Gomez, Thomas, N'Zogbia; Di Santo. Subs: Kirkland (gk), Watson, Boselli, Moses, Cleverley, Rodellega, Diame. [LNB]
