Nolan issues rally call

// A bit of a hack but it works// The article snippet is wrapped onto a second line, even when #article-sub is emptyif( $("div#article-sub").children().length == 0 ) {$("div#article-sub").remove();} Kevin Nolan admits he is in the dark over whether more players will leave Newcastle before the start of the season.[LNB] The midfielder is far from downbeat though and is adamant there are plenty of players out there who would love to wear black and white.[LNB]While Newcastle owner Mike Ashley continues to look for someone to buy the cash-strapped club following relegation from the Premier League last season, interim manager Chris Hughton is trying to prepare the squad for the opening-day Championship fixture at West Brom next week.[LNB]However, after the 1-1 draw with Dundee United at Tannadice, where around 2,300 Geordie fans travelled north of the border, the former Tottenham coach admitted he had no prior knowledge of the sale of Obafemi Martins to Wolfsburg on Friday.[LNB]Hughton also claimed to know nothing about reports that Newcastle had rejected a £10million bid from Tottenham for Sebastien Bassong.[LNB]Sticking togetherNolan said: "We know as much as you guys but all the lads who are here at the moment have said that they want to stick with us and give 100% for Newcastle.[LNB]"Now if a club comes in and offers a ridiculous amount of money for someone then that could all change.[LNB]"We are 110% behind Chris and his staff and they are 110% behind us.[LNB]"As a team we have to stick together and hopefully try and get through to September without losing too many players.[LNB]"But one thing we will have to do if it stays the way it is, is to bring a couple of new faces in to freshen things up and to strengthen in places where we need to strengthen.[LNB]"It is big decision time for people upstairs.[LNB]Big decision"That's up to them, we are just getting on with things on the pitch and they are doing their thing.[LNB]"We are not here to ask them to do anything, all we want is to produce on the pitch.[LNB]"But no one will find it difficult coming to this club. It is a fantastic club, it has great history.[LNB]"You've seen how many fans turned up at Tannadice and so if Newcastle United come calling for anyone, albeit we are in the Championship now, I don't think many people will put the phone down."[LNB]
