Nile Ranger will face separate hearings on assault charges and for allegedly being drunk and disorderly.

The Newcastle United striker, 20, will face assault charges at Newcastle Crown Court on February 27, following a brief hearing at Newcastle Magistrates Court.

His drunk and disorderly case was adjourned to be back before the magistrates for trial on March 21.

Ranger, who lives in Forest Hall, was bailed on condition he stays outside central Newcastle's parking meter zone between 9pm and 7am, the court heard.
