Chris Hughton was obviously wasting his time ... because Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley will spend the season on loan at Wigan! Roberto Martinez beat Newcastle and Bolton to sign the Old Trafford youngster, despite Hughton trying to get the kid back in May. We suggested yesterday the player prefered not to uproot for a season, and was wanting to stay in the north-west.
