Kinnear is hoping to be released from hospital on Tuesday after he was taken ill on Saturday morning at the team hotel ahead of the West Bromwich Albion game. [LNB]However Kinnear says he hopes to be "fighting fit" when Newcastle resume their battle against relegation when Everton head to St James's Park a week on Sunday. [LNB]Kinnear said "I woke up on Saturday morning at 5.30am feeling unwell so our club doctor checked my blood pressure and it was high. [LNB] "We left it for a while and then decided to go to the hospital. The decided to keep me in after speaking to a specialist. [LNB] "They have done some tests and we will get some more results today. [LNB] "A cardiologist is going to have a look at me today and then I hope to be allowed to head home tomorrow morning. [LNB] "I feel A-OK and hopefully I will be back at work soon. [LNB] "I am fighting fit and with a bit of a break before the next game I hope to be back for the Everton match for normal service." [LNB]Kinnear added "We are still in a scrap despite the West Brom win, we have always been in a relegation battle but we are looking to push on from here despite some hard games coming up. [LNB]Kinnear was clearly buoyed by the 3-2 defeat of West Brom that eased the club's relegation worries. [LNB]"I've watched through the highlights a few times now and I'm proud of the lads," Kinnear added. [LNB]"The lads were terrific and it was a great result for us. "I was also delighted to see such camaraderie in the team. A lot of people say West Brom defended badly, but that's sour grapes from my point of view. [LNB]"We put in a great performance and showed we can attack teams with some of the players we have here. We scored three goals and I was pleased with Kevin Nolan and Ryan Taylor, not to mention Peter Lovenkrands. [LNB]"Taylor and Steven Taylor combined well for the corner, while Lovenkrands scored and Nolan was the driving force in midfield."[LNB]
