Carroll, 21, has surprisingly been left out of the England Under-21 and senior squads but Newcastle captain Kevin Nolan is certain that it is just a matter of time before his colleague wins a senior cap. [LNB]'Andy Carroll will be an England international,' Nolan said. 'I'm sure he wouldn't let his country down, much like he hasn't let us down. [LNB]Gateshead-born Carroll, 21, has scored four Premier League goals for newly-promoted Newcastle this season but failed to make the Newcastle starting line-up in the 2-1 defeat at Manchester City last weekend after suffering with a virus. [LNB]He was also left out of the England Under-21 squad to face Romania on Friday and then omitted from Fabio Capello's squad for next Tuesday's 2012 qualifier against Montenegro as Nolan's former Bolton colleague, Kevin Davies, got the nod from the Italian. [LNB]Despite the snub, Nolan remains convinced that Carroll will eventually make the grade for England. [LNB]'The difference between Andy and the other strikers we've got is that he's a good target man, and can hold the ball up and get on the end of crosses,' Nolan added. [LNB]'I don't see him in the Peter Crouch mould. He's a tougher one, more of an Emile Heskey but, in my eyes, better and more talented. [LNB]'All I am interested in, and ever have been interested in, is how Andy performs for Newcastle United,' Hughton said. 'It's what he does in games and in training with us that is important.'[LNB]
