Newcastle United threaten players with legal action over Twitter posts

[LNB]The matter has been an unwanted distraction for Newcastle ahead of the new season, and Pardew, following consultation with Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, revealed letters have been now sent to Newcastle's players reminding them of their responsibilities. [LNB]"Now the problem I have with this new medium of Twitter, people are Twittering on there in an emotional state. Not just footballers," Pardew said.[LNB]"Sportsmen are an emotive people, that's why they become pro sportsmen. They get in an emotional state and then you put something out instantly on Twitter, it's very, very damaging.
