Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew frustrated by wantaway defender Jose Enrique

By Luke Edwards[LNB]11:00AM BST 15 Jul 2011[LNB]Comments[LNB] Enrique, who has one year left on his contract, refused to sign an extension that would have made him one of the club's top earners, and has told Pardew this week he is unhappy and frustrated on Tyneside.[LNB]Newcastle, though, have not received a single bid for the left-back and Pardew is worried the saga is going to drag on, leaving him with no time to sign a replacement.[LNB]Newcastle's effort to sign Swansea left-back Neil Taylor collapsed on Thursday after it emerged his contract did not contain a £1m release clause, while Toulouse want too much money for Senegal international Cheikh M'Bengue.[LNB]Enrique's behaviour is irritating his manager, especially as Joey Barton's attitude in training has been impeccable, even though he had a contract extension offer withdrawn after months of volatile negotiations with managing director Derek Llambias at the start of June.[LNB]The Spaniard will travel to America for Newcastle's pre-season tour this weekend, but Pardew is getting to the end of his tether with the 25-year-old's demands to join a Champions League club when none have come in for him.
