Newcastle re-sign Peter Lovenkrands bringing free agent back to St James's
Newcastle have re-signed Peter Lovenkrands on a three-year deal after being out of contract since May.
The 29-year-old Danish striker spent the second half of last season at St James' Park, but despite scoring three goals in 12 appearances, he was released.
The former Rangers and Schalke player is expected to make his debut at Cardiffon September 13.
Newcastle were desperate to land a new striker with Xisco on his way back to Spain and Shola Ameobi and Andy Carroll both injured.
