Newcastle United have been ordered to pay more than ?75,000 compensation to two League of Ireland clubs for young Irish prospect Stephen Folan. [LNB]So far the Galway youngster has not appeared in the Newcastle first team squad but he has earned some notoriety already as the third man to be photographed in a Newcastle nightclub alongside fellow Irishmen Stephen Ireland and Leon Best on the eve of their defeat at Stoke City. [LNB]Ireland and Best will both be disciplined by Newcastle manager Alan Pardew this week for their part in the incident at the TupTup Palace club nearly two weeks ago. Folan could also be reprimanded after he too was pictured showing off his stomach to official nightclub photographers on the night. Newcastle can still appeal against FIFA's decision.[LNB] The two Irish clubs decided to take their cases to FIFA headquarters in Zurich after failing to win any compensation from Newcastle when Folan signed for them two years ago. [LNB]Under new FIFA regulations, juniors clubs outside of a senior club's geographical area are entitled to ?10,000 for every year a player is registered from the age of 12. Once the player reaches 15, clubs can increase their claim to ?50,000. [LNB]Another Irish team, Cregmore Claregalway FC, have already received ?20,000 from Manchester City for Greg Cunningham under the protection scheme. [LNB]Folan, an Ireland Under 17 international, signed professional terms last year and is now an established member of Newcastle's reserve team squad. Hopes are high that he will make the breakthrough into the first team. He joined Mervue United at the age of 10, and left aged 15. [LNB]Under FIFA rules, the club, who last month just survived relegation from the second tier of Irish football, the Airtricity League first division, are entitled to ?30,000. [LNB]After Mervue, Folan briefly joined Galway Hibernians who did not pursue a claim. He then signed for Salthill Devon, another small club who are now playing in the Irish first division. Folan was 16 when he left for Newcastle.[LNB] Salthill Devon have successfully negotiated deals with professional sides in the past and in the last two years Joe O'Brien has moved to Celtic from Salthill and Joe Shaugnessy has joined Aberdeen.  [LNB] Pardew confident he can spend ?35m Carroll cash on new stars this summerWilshere, Carroll and co: Sportsmail's guide to PFA Young Player of the YearFA chiefs call for salary caps and spending limits for Premier LeagueAll the Newcastle United FC news, features and opinion[LNB]  Explore more:People: Leon Best Places: Newcastle, Aberdeen, Ireland
