Newcastle manager Joe Kinnear taken to hospital

The club have confirmed he will miss this afternoon's Premier League game at West Brom. [LNB]Assistant coach Chris Hughton, who acted as caretaker manager before Kinnear was appointed, will take charge of the team at The Hawthorns. [LNB]A club spokesman said: "This morning, Joe Kinnear reported feeling unwell at the team hotel ahead of Newcastle United's game at West Bromwich Albion. [LNB]"After being examined by the club's medical staff, Joe was taken to hospital, as a precautionary measure, where he remains under observation. [LNB]"Joe will miss the game, with Chris Hughton taking charge of the team at The Hawthorns." [LNB]Newcastle have not revealed any other details. [LNB]--[LNB]Obafemi Martins, Mark Viduka and Alan Smith are all available for selection today. Martins (hernia), Viduka (Achilles) and Smith (foot/ankle) are all back in full training after lengthy lay-offs. [LNB]New signing Ryan Taylor could be handed a debut but Jonas Gutierrez is suspended and Fabricio Coloccini and Andy Carroll (both ankle) are injury doubts. [LNB]Claudio Cacapa (knee) is also closing in on a return, while skipper Michael Owen (ankle ligaments) could be back sooner than expected, but Danny Guthrie (hamstring), Habib Beye (ankle) and Tamas Kadar (broken leg) remain on the sidelines.
