Newcastle look to re-sign free agent Lovenkrands at St James's Park
Newcastle are in talks with Denmark international Peter Lovenkrands.
The former Rangers striker spent the last four months on loan at St James's Park but he was released at the end of last season.
The striker, who scored three goals for Newcastle last season, has been considering other offers over the summer, but has been unable to land a new club.
Newcastle are desperate to land a new striker with Xisco on his way back to Spain and Shola Ameobi and Andy Carroll both injured.
