Newcastle have joined the race to sign Leeds' flying winger Robert Snodgrass.

The 23-year-old Scotland international has already been a target of Stoke and West Bromwich but Toon manager Alan Pardew also wants the ?5m-rated player.

Pardew is desperate to add some width and pace to his side next season and is convinced Snodgrass can do that.

Impressive: Robert Snodgrass has caught the eye of several clubs with his displays for Leeds this season

Stoke manager Tony Pulis and Baggies West Bromwich boss Roy Hodgson have watched Snodgrass several times.

He cost Leeds just ?275,000 from Livingston three years ago and still has two years left to run on his contract.

Snodgrass has been a revelation in the Championship this season and is said to be desperate to play Premier League football with Leeds looking a doubt to qualify for the play-offs

Simon Grayson's side are two points adrift of the play-off places and need to beat promotion-rivals Burnley at home on Saturday to stay in the hunt.
